Meet Hine King – the ‘power house’ behind JOBfest 2016.
Hine (full name Hineaopounamu, of Tainui and Ngapuhi descent) was recently appointed Business Development Manager at Partners Porirua.
She is already signing up local businesses who want to get involved in JOBfest, and she’s speaking to local colleges and Whitireia NZ to identify students who are keen to enter employment. JOBfest will bring employers and young people together in a bid to match the students with genuine employment opportunities.
Hine comes from a strong background as a sales and marketing manager in the hospitality and tourism industry, both in Auckland and Christchurch. More recently she was employed in various roles at the Ministry of Education in Wellington, which is where her passion for youth education was nurtured.
