Company Overview
Mitsubishi Motors NZ has been part of the DNA of Porirua since 1973. That’s when the Todd Group assembly plant opened in Porirua assembling Mitsubishi cars, trucks and buses. Although assembly ceased in Porirua in 1998, the company’s head office is still located in Porirua.
Mitsubishi Motors has a strong focus on the environment and were the first automotive manufacturer to introduce mass-produced electric cars and plug-in hybrids to New Zealand. They are a pioneer of cleaner,
greener motoring.
Commitment to youth
Mitsubishi Motors is committed to participating in quality community engagement at a local level. It’s partnership with the local Porirua community through the Porirua Youth 2 Work Movement and Partners Porirua is an example of that commitment.
Through this partnership, Mitsubishi Motors has had the privilege of hiring young people for very diverse roles within the company and has been rewarded by seeing them grow and develop their skills and by how
they are positively impacting the company’s culture.
