The vision of the New Zealand Police is “to have the trust and confidence of all” especially youth.
The Kapiti Mana area Police are involved in a number of initiatives involving youth, including the Combined Adolescent Challenge Training Unit Support (CACTUS) programme through Porirua College and the Community Driver Mentor programme, where Police staff engage with Porirua youth on a daily basis, teaching them sound driving practices to prepare them for sitting and passing their restricted licences.
The Kapiti Mana area Police enjoy attending CAREERfest, where Police staff engage with lots of youth, encouraging them to sign up for the Police recruiting process.
