Support for Youth 2 Work movement flourishes

Partners Porirua News

Partners Porirua welcomed four new business partners to its Youth 2 Work Movement at the end of 2020.

They’ve joined more than 40 other local businesses, educational institutions and organisations that are determined to make a difference to lives of young people in Porirua through their involvement with Youth 2 Work. All are committed to seeing rangitahi in work, learning or training.

Our four new partners are the Road Transport Forum, First Retail Group, Jennian Homes and Higgins.

ROAD TRANSPORT FORUM

Road Transport Forum New Zealand (RTF) gives one voice to companies moving goods around New Zealand by road.

It works to clear the way for 93 percent of New Zealand’s freight to get where it needs to go, when it needs to get there. That involves advocating for better, safer roads, and the right environment for the people who keep about 18,000 trucks on the road on any given day. Pretty much everything you need spends some time on the back of a truck.

RTF is committed to diversity and inclusion. It has an industry traineeship underway to get people on the road to success, providing on-the-job training combined with nationally recognised qualifications.

FIRST RETAIL GROUP
